This project evokes the transformative power of architecture which, through a new design, can decisively alter the life and use of a house, even going against the principles with which it was originally conceived. The project is located in the middle of the historic center of Cascais, close to the old citadel. It is a 2 bedroom apartment, on the ground floor of an ordinary building built in the 70s.
Limited resources are becoming an increasingly common challenge in architecture. Today, regardless of the region, projects are affected by the availability of resources, which are now compounded by environmental considerations. This situation, far from being restrictive, prompts us to explore new possibilities in how we conceive the built environment.
