A new nursery with a capacity of 90 children is built in Kanoya City, Kagoshima Prefecture. In Kanoya City, a pyroclastic flow from an eruption more than 20,000 years ago was deposited and formed the vast plateau of Shirasu. Based on the history that the nature-rich landscape has long been taken care of over centuries and the distinguishing characteristics of the landscape, this building incorporates such quality that the plateau uniquely offers.
Founded in 2005, BigRock is one of the most prestigious realities in the European 3D animation scene, a school - Institute of Magic Technologies - that "trains" hundreds of new students every year. The project for the new headquarters consists of the recovery and set-up of two former warehouses of the Ca' Tron Estate, an agricultural complex that extends over an area of 1200 hectares and is considered the largest agricultural estate in the Veneto region.
The first challenge would be to overcome the difficulties of the narrow and long lot geometry, where the main point of interest lies in the beautiful landscape at the back. Consequently, the family living area should be there. Thus, the house program was designed with a private wing, the bedrooms, facing east and close to the street, and the living area facing the landscape.
The interior design of the Parkway office project with a small area of 85 square meters and an amorphous geometry was referred to us while the client was worried about meeting his quantitative and qualitative needs, looking for maximum use of the space.
Planar house is an exploration of assembling a series of detached monolithic planar volumes along the main body of the home. This layered assembly and the resulting gaps create unexpected chasm-like spatial experiences. The cast-in-situ rugged concrete planar wall, along with stucco walls on the upper levels, emerge from the F-shaped house plan and take on the role of being a two-sided canvas for the sun to impart it's constantly shifting shadows.
In the quest to promote a more sustainable construction where the use of natural materials contributes to the transmission of local traditions and cultures, an increasing number of architecture projects are exploring different resources and techniques to address environmental, economic, or social concerns. Understanding the benefits and qualities of materials such as color or texture influences the final experience of those who inhabit, walkthrough, or visit spaces. Therefore, understanding their technical... Читать дальше...

The Wayfarers Chapel, known locally as "The Glass Church," was designed by Lloyd Wright, the eldest son of architect Frank Lloyd Wright, and completed in 1951. Located in the Palos Verdes peninsula in Los Angeles, its design aimed to blend the lines between architecture and nature, with large-span glass panels opening up to space toward the redwood canopies. Last year, the structure was designated a national historic landmark. Now, due to “accelerated land movement” in the area, the structure... Читать дальше...
The terraced gardens create the city hills - We wanted to create a house that would allow the entire site to be bathed in sunlight even in the dense residential area. It is a flagpole land with a width of only 2m, and the area is small, so the building coverage ratio and floor area ratio are severe. The surrounding area is crowded with houses, so it is not possible to expect light and ventilation.

Step into the realm where the minimalism of the 1960s Light and Space movement intertwines with contemporary high-tech algorithms and sensors. Back then, light artists like James Turrell, Dan Flavin, and Robert Irwin captivated audiences with the bare essentials, using precisely daylight or lamps to heighten visual perception. Fast forward to today, Chromasonic takes this synergy of light and color but augments it with sound and algorithms. Envisioned as a global network to experience the harmony of body and mind... Throughout history, the undeniable interrelationship between sound and architecture has shaped user's experiences. From auditoriums to offices, cultural centers, and schools, acoustics in architecture can manifest itself in two ways: as a determining element of a structure's shape and as a material. When discussing aesthetics, the latter aspect is particularly relevant, as any material that forms part of a composition aims to have a cohesive design with the rest.
