Alaska Airlines has again grounded all of its Boeing 737 Max 9 jetliners. The airline said on Sunday that the Federal Aviation Administration has indicated further maintenance might be required. The FAA had ordered that all 737 Max 9s be grounded after an Alaska Airlines flight had a portion of its fuselage blow out over Oregon on Friday night. The plane landed safely with no serious injuries. Alaska had returned 18 of its 65 737 Max 9s to service Saturday after they passed inspection. The aircraft make up about 20% of Alaska's fleet. Fossil hunters are celebrating the discovery of a mammoth tusk and other bones unearthed at a coal mine in North Dakota. A shovel operator was the first person to spot the collection of bones while shoveling a giant mound of dirt into a dump truck. More digging by paleontologists unearthed more bones, likely the most complete mammoth specimen found in North Dakota. China has announced sanctions on five American defense-related companies in response to U.S. arms sales to Taiwan and United States sanctions on Chinese companies and individuals.
