HOPING to rock cute, fall-themed nails, a woman showed her manicurist an inspiration photo of the trendy look.
What she got, however, was a far cry from the earthy look she wanted.
A hopeful woman headed to the nail salon and showed a photo of the look she wanted to mimic[/caption]TikToker Shay Nichole (@shaynichole08_22) said her nail technician got it completely wrong.
“I saw meme one time that was like, ‘Girls go to the nail salon with a picture and come out with something completely different,’” she began in the clip.
The young blonde finally understood that sentiment.
“This is what I wanted,” she said, pointing to a photo of matte burnt orange and dark blue nails.
“Fall, cute.”
What she got, however, was a little too bright for her liking.
Rather than terracotta and deep sky tones, the nails were pumpkin orange and teal blue.
“I don’t hate them, but why does it look like I have Miami Dolphins colors on my nails right now?”
While the inspiration photo featured a sort of blended look on one nail, her technician’s attempt wasn’t right.
“The marbling is…” she said, with a disappointed look on her face that finished the sentence for her.
“It’s definitely not what I was going for.
“They’re not fall vibes. They’re definitely still summer vibes.”
While she said she wasn’t going to complain in person because the manicurist did a “very nice job,” she couldn’t help but do so in the caption: “It looks like the Dolphins vomited on my nails.”
One viewer said the biggest problem was the shade of orange, writing: “It needs to be like burnt and dark, not neon.”
And another said they’ve been there before: “Girl no lie, it always happens to me. Or I show a pic and they say it can’t be done.”
