Recently two former Belles, Janice Fuller class of 73' and Belinda Candler Copeland class of 76' were both honored as former members of the Women's Professional Basketball League -WBL that Women's Basketball Hall of Fame "Trailblazers" choose as one of the 2018 Hall of Fame Inductees. Both ladies hail from Ft. Towson, Oklahoma and had the privilege of playing under the guidance of Dixie Woodall. Mrs. Copeland was a member of the 1976 National Championship Belles Team. Both players continued their careers at The University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) and then both went on to join the Women's Professional Basketball League. Ms. Fuller was a member in of the Chicago Hustle and Milwaukee Does 78'-79' while Mrs. Copeland was drafted by the Houston Hustle in 1978 and later went to Chicago Hustle. Both ladies were successful and received numerous honors in every program.
