Flights were grounded for more than an hour at Liverpool John Lennon Airport because a power failure impacted air traffic control.
The airport announced the failure shortly before 2pm and it meant flights were temporarily suspended.
A spokesperson for the airport said: ”Our engineers have resolved the earlier Air Traffic Control power issue, and aircraft operations have now resumed.
‘There may be delays to your flight, please consult your airline for any further updates.
‘We apologise for any inconvenience caused.’
The issue was fixed shortly after 3pm.
A number of flights set to land at Liverpool have been diverted to Manchester Airport instead.
These include a flight from Jersey, one from Enfidha in Tunisia, and one from Parma in Italy.
