If Tyronn Lue becomes available, the Lakers would have strong interest. The 47-year-old, who has one year left on his contract with the Clippers, won a championship coaching James with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2016. With roughly two and a half minutes to play and down 20, Bucks guard Patrick Beverley threw a basketball at a fan behind him from the team’s bench. He appeared to miss his target, a male Pacers fan, instead hitting a female Pacers fan in the side of the head before asking for the ball back. The man collected the ball and tossed it back to Beverley, who immediately over-the-head, double-hand chucked it back at the fan. The fan deflected the ball as Bucks staff and security stepped in, but the fan and Beverley continued to exchange words. Читать дальше...
Rich Paul on how long LeBron James has left in his playing career: I think body-wise, five years. Understanding how to play the game mind-wise? Forever. Mind-wise as it pertains to frustration, to endure just like missing time with his family, with his wife… They’ve been unbelievable, they’ve been an unbelievable support system. At some point it’s gotta be about them. I think, from that perspective, maybe two to three years, from that perspective.

Kyrie Irving had just routed the LA Clippers by 30 points. His Dallas Mavericks were one win away from the Western Conference semifinals. But the question made him momentarily ponder an alternate reality. Did he seriously consider reuniting with LeBron James in this very building last season? “Everything was considered,” Irving told FOX Sports after Game 5 on Wednesday in Los Angeles, flashing a smile. James is currently watching the playoffs from his couch after his Los Angeles Lakers were eliminated... Читать дальше...

“If it was all up to LeBron, he’d have Ty Lue as his coach and he would do that with the Lakers,” one Eastern Conference executive said. “That’s his guy. Out of all the coaches LeBron has ever had, the one he singles out is Ty. Now he is in a position where he has free-agency on his side and he can maybe force the team to do something to get his guy if he gets fired.

Cleveland Cavaliers starting center Jarrett Allen did not practice as he continues to be slowed by a painful rib injury that could keep him out of Friday night’s critical Game 6 in Orlando. Allen didn’t dress for Cleveland’s 104-103 win in Game 5 on Wednesday. The team said Allen, who was injured in Game 4, only received treatment Thursday and did rehab work as his teammates prepared for the Magic. He admitted that he is not the biggest fan of Luka Doncic for his ball-dominant style of play. Karl is also excited to see what the future holds for Victor Wembanyama. “I’m not a big fan of Luka — I just don’t like him palming the ball all the time and it’s just not my style. I want him to play more together. But I think that we’re all blessed right now with that tall skinny guy down there in San Antonio… What the hell is HE gonna be? I think that’s going to be really interesting,” Karl said.’

The LA Clippers will try to keep their season alive without Kawhi Leonard. Leonard was officially ruled out for Game 6 in Dallas on Friday. The Clippers face elimination trailing 3-2 in the best-of-seven series against the Dallas Mavericks. Unlike in the first-round series between both teams in 2021 when Leonard scored 45 points to help the Clippers stave off elimination in Game 6 in Dallas, LA will not have its franchise player to try to force a Game 7 this time. The All-Star will miss his third... Читать дальше...
The Los Angeles Lakers are considering making a head coach change, and they are expected to consider an ESPN analyst if they make the move. ESPN reporter Dave McMenamin appeared on “The Dan Patrick Show” for an interview on Thursday.
