Philadelphia 76ers forward Tobias Harris and his brother and former G League forward Terry Harris never got to play with or against each other in the NBA. But they are teaming up to bring much needed affordable housing to Los Angeles. The Harris brothers said they are currently in development to bring 270 affordable housing units in three locations to the Echo Park neighborhood of Los Angeles. The projects include a 33-unit development, 93-unit development with retail, and a 190-unit development. Читать дальше...
During the same interview, Charles Barkley also gave his two cents on when LeBron James should decide to hang it up and call it a day. “I hope he retires while he can still play,” Barkley said. “I saw Michael Jordan [play] with the [Washington] Wizards and it was not pretty. I saw Patrick Ewing with the Orlando Magic. I would love to see [LeBron James] retire sooner rather than later…because it ends badly when you keep on playing.”

The four-time NBA champion has until June 29 to opt in. Despite the contractual uncertainty, the overall view is that James will opt out and re-sign with the Lakers. Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green holds a similar view. While admitting that LeBron’s decision is not known, Green expects him to remain a Laker. “I don’t quite see him leaving L.A. Just don’t really see it. Just my opinion. But we shall see what happens with that,” Green said on The Draymond Green Show.

Nevertheless, with their 118-84 loss to the Boston Celtics in game five of their 2024 NBA Playoffs first round series, the season is over for the Heat, one that showed promise at times but ultimately never offered true contention for the title.

That’s not to say that Trae Young has a no trade clause — he doesn’t — but if he were hellbent on remaining a member of the Atlanta Hawks, he wouldn’t be saying the kind of things he did on the “From the Point” podcast today. “Everybody knows like obviously I want to be in Atlanta. When I was drafted, that’s where I wanted to spend my whole career, but at the same time I want to win. So if we’re not on the same page and all, I want to win right now.
