In their ancestral village, which is rapidly transforming into a satellite town of a major industrial city, Amandeep Singh Virk and his wife Rajveer Kaur envisioned a home that would echo sustainability. The site selection was evident: right where their old, dilapidated house stood. The couple resisted leaving their comfort zone; this was the place where Amandeep had grown up, surrounded by family.
The PC House is located in the Cacupé neighborhood, in the city of Florianópolis, in Santa Catarina. In a noble region in terms of natural aspects, which is privileged with the landscape of the Cacupé and Saco Grande Bays and the mountains that structure the Santa Catarina mountain range on its nearby continent.

A “Home Around the Forest” is a weekend house in Karuizawa, Japan, for a couple with two children living in central Tokyo. The family was familiar with the area, and they stayed for many holidays in hotels nearby. Finally, they decided that they wanted their own hotel room in the forest, a 70sqm suite for a family of five to make the most of their holidays.
The question, "How can we control natural light in interior spaces?" is fundamental in architecture. Unregulated direct sunlight can cause discomfort such as visual strain and undesirable heat gains. Therefore, it is crucial to control its entry effectively. Some design solutions include installing shading devices, planning spatial orientation, and building forms for indirect natural light. Window treatments like films or heat-reflective glazing can also be used.
In the early morning of April 16, a fire broke out in the capital of Denmark, engulfing Copenhagen’s Old Stock Exchange, one of the oldest landmarks in the city. Subsequently, this complex evolves into a hub of poverty and violence. Despite the film being set in the 1960s, the housing development depicted was a recent construction.
