This house is located in Nishi-Tokyo City, Tokyo. The site looks up to a promenade that stretches like a horse's back, and is planned as an atelier for the couple, both creators, and a home for their family of four.
Hudson Valley Residence is a ground-up home built on a ridge overlooking the Catskill Mountains. The home was commissioned for a client with multiple residences who envisioned a retreat providing scenic views of the surrounding mountains, serenity, and a gathering place for family. The centerpiece of a 35-acre property, the elongated home runs from north to south on the highest point of the property, with views of the mountain range to the west.
The residence is located in a condominium in the city of Bauru, on a plot of land with a pronounced slope from the back to the front of the lot, allowing its arrangement on two levels.
Regardless of their size, all buildings in urban contexts contribute to the greater morphology that ultimately defines a city. The larger the project, however, the more the architect becomes under pressure to sensibly balance land use ratio and design. Although this may again evolve in the future, the most current and commonly accepted approach to sustainable urban design is degree densification in and near cities, allowing a greater number of people to rely on public transport, live closer to their work and city centers... Located in a residential area of L´Ampolla, our project aims to be both local and different. It does not seek continuity with its context but rather challenges the built environment. The new dwelling is presented as a freestanding entity that claims the lost heritage and reinterprets it from a contemporary perspective.

This project was designed to occupy a plot located in a condominium near São Paulo, with a gentle slope, and led us to think of a single-story implantation with the residential program not grouped, to condition circulation as an outdoor route, covered yet open, as in the traditional veranda houses of our vernacular architecture. Common Thread is an immersive passage made from a 3D knit textile connecting a previously inaccessible 19th-century monastery courtyard in Bruges back to the city. Shenzhen's China Merchant’s Bank Headquarters has reached its final construction phase. Designed by Foster + Partners, the project is a prominent element within a larger mixed-use complex, carefully shaping the neighborhood and the city’s dynamic skyline. Designed around the context of the rapidly urbanizing Shenzhen Smart City, the bank and its larger mixed-use components seek to be sustainable developments seamlessly integrating into the existing landscape.

Throughout various historical civilizations and art movements, from Classical Greece and Rome to the Renaissance and the Bauhaus, the collaboration between art and architecture has been a significant societal expression. However, the 20th-century ideals of modernism and mass production resulted in the decline and near disappearance of art within buildings.
While we were attuned to building homes and weekend houses, designing a place that feels like a weekend house required us to rethink the very concept of a house. Set in a typical gated community with a dense urban fabric, House of Concrete Walls is a response to this rather unusual brief. Striving to constantly be in dialogue with the outside, the house creates an experience of living amidst the serenity of nature.
The main concept is visual simplicity. The design was made up of functional elements except for the most decorative elements. Fortunately, the architect's taste and our taste matched well. Windows, exterior materials, and interior materials were all simplified, so it was our purpose not to mix various materials. The design of the elevation is also planned with geometric figures and consists only of regular straight lines and curves. The demand for youthful services in red tourist attractions. The project is located at the foot of Tianhua Mountain Scenic Area in Qingshanpu Town, Changsha County, Hunan Province.
