The National Security Agency whistleblower will be in conversation with Daniel Ellsberg — an earlier generation’s whistleblower — via live-stream video to be broadcast at City Arts & Lectures.
Scott Shafer, senior editor for KQED’s California Politics and Government Desk, will be the host.
Ellsberg, the former military analyst who leaked the Pentagon Papers in 1971, has defended Snowden leaking classified information from the NSA in 2013.
Snowden lives in Russia under asylum; he has made numerous video appearances over the past couple years with various organizations, including the European Parliament, Amnesty International, media outlets and universities.
