RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) — Authorities say the swift actions of a man and two boys saved the life of a 5-year-old girl who nearly drowned in a hotel swimming pool in South Dakota. Wisdom Bass-Robinson, 12, and Btin Spears, 13, of Walthill, Nebraska, noticed the girl face-down in the pool at the Best Western Ramkota in Rapid City shortly after 8 p.m. Monday and pulled her from the water, according to police.

Mexico’s president on Tuesday proposed allowing same-sex marriage nationally, the latest in a series of progressive policies in a traditionally conservative country. After Gandolfini’s 13-year-old son notified the front desk at the Boscolo Exedera Hotel in Rome that his father had collapsed in the bathroom of their suite, paramedics responded, and one is being charged with taking the watch from Gandolfini's wrist as he was on the floor, according to The Daily Beast.
