Kazakhstani man taken to police after livestream with cat
Tengrinews.kz — Social media users in Kazakhstan have expressed widespread outrage over a TikTok livestream in which a man was seen mistreating a cat. Police have since issued a statement on the incident.

During the livestream on the popular social media platform, the man was filmed biting the cat's ear. The footage sparked public backlash, with many users calling on the police to track down the "blogger".
Police Response
It was announced today that police in the Kyzylorda region have detained the man for animal cruelty.
"On September 21, a video circulated on TikTok showing a man mistreating a cat. Police officers conducted an investigation, and the individual was identified and taken to the station. He was identified as a 43-year-old resident of the Zhambyl region. He has been held administratively liable and issued a fine," police stated.
The press service has not yet specified the amount of the fine. Additionally, the man was issued an official warning regarding the impermissibility of such actions and informed that repeat offenses could lead to criminal charges. The pet was reported to be unharmed.
