Actor Tim Curry, who played Pennywise in “It”, has died

British actor Tim Curry, best known for his role as Pennywise in "It", has died at the age of 80, citing TMZ.
Curry, who had suffered from serious health issues for over a decade, reportedly passed away late Tuesday night at his home in Los Angeles.
According to law enforcement sources, there were no signs of foul play.
The actor began his Hollywood career in the late 1960s. His major breakthrough came with his role in "The Rocky Horror Picture Show". Audiences also remember Curry for his portrayal of the terrifying clown Pennywise in the 1990 miniseries adaptation of Stephen King's "It", as well as his role as Mr. Hector in "Home Alone 2: Lost in New York".
His other notable works include "Annie," "Clue," "The Hunt for Red October," "Muppet Treasure Island," "Addams Family Reunion," and "Scary Movie 2".

Curry was highly respected within the acting community, the report notes. He was a three-time Tony Award nominee and a one-time Emmy nominee.
The actor continued to work in both film and theater; however, health problems limited his professional activities in recent years. In 2012, he suffered a major stroke that required brain surgery.
Last year, around the time his memoir "Vagabond" was released, Curry shared that he was still unable to walk.
