By PNA and Anna Liza Villas – Alavaren Prepare for rainfall during the 10-day period ending next Friday, June 10, all regions around the country were urged by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) yesterday. But the state weather forecasters said they don’t expect tropical cyclones to affect the country by then. PAGASA urged such preparation, expecting the southwest monsoon or “habagat” to bring occasional light to moderate rains mostly in western parts of Luzon and the Visayas. “The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening,” PAGASA also said in its forecast for the period. “Habagat” and inter-tropical convergence zone are weather systems that’ll affect the country by then, noted PAGASA.
