The Nation's Weather for Thursday, October 13, 2022
_____
NATIONAL SUMMARY
Thunderstorms along a strong cold front could produce
flooding downpours, damaging wind gusts and even an isolated
tornado from southern New York, to eastern North Carolina,
tomorrow. South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida, may also
have thunderstorms, but the threat of severe weather is
lower. Farther west, the combination of rain and fallen
leaves could cause slick roads in central Pennsylvania. Much
colder air in the wake of the front will allow snowflakes to
mix in with rain showers in northern Minnesota, northern
Wisconsin, and the western Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
However, no snow accumulation is expected with temperatures
well above freezing. Other than the potential for some
morning low clouds along the coast of Southern California,
much of the West can expect a sunny and dry day.
