Many gamers do not realize the quantity of console sales which take place is rather high just because of its specific purpose to play two or one annualized franchises. For the person who buys two matches a year for example Madden and NBA2K every calendar year, $60x2 for the hours and hours of Madden nfl 21 coins time put into these games, the worth is super large. The population of men and women who fall into that category are not on r/Games complaining about microtransactions and shit like that. They most likely don't even have a reddit account.
I watched a meeting for one of the earlier call of duty annualized games (such as contemporary warfare 3 or more so), and also the developers essentially said that ordinary players (the ones who play halo, killzone, battlefield, other shooters) don't buy call of duty games. The majority of folks who perform call of duty will only buy Cod and a sports match. And they'll do this religiously every year. I have discovered this subset referred to as Brogamers--sort of the antithesis to people that only play with The Sims/Animal Crossing but in the end it's a similar spending pattern. Totally agree with you and this interview from back in the afternoon (man time is flying ). Bro have you played a Madden game recently? They're fucking terrible! Same engine as they utilized on PS3, yet the match somehow has less features and more bugs than it did 15 years ago. It is objectively a terribly made game.
The madden criticism which surfaced has nothing to do with your comment. Its an increasing group of individuals who wish to play a fantastic football match, but Ea keeps selling them exactly the same game without upgrading the motor. This group needs the nfl to give out multiple instances of likeness rights or offer them exclusively to a different firm that would hopefully create a much better game. Not surprising. That is why EA doesn't have to bother ever improving anything in most of their manners or fixing any bugs which have been there for years. People will buy it no matter whales will dump a lot of money into MUT. 2k has similar troubles and the microtransaction stuff is gross but at least that has great gameplay and top tier presentation and they still put in a bit more effort. Sports game simply have an entirely different demographics to matches like Witcher 3 and CIV.
If anything that shows you why they published a broken item. The men and women who buy don't read/care what the internet thinks. Disappointed in the sports community but honestly. . .where else could they go if this is their only option? The majority of the sports enthusiast do not read reviews before they purchase. A good deal of them literally just play that game for the entire year. It's the same for FIFA. Lots use their playstation as basically a FIFA machine. Imagine if Fromsoftware created a half-baked Souls game. The fans would still buy it since it's still a Souls game. Makes sense if you consider it like that. I mean, I just played New Super Mario Bros 2. It is like three hours long and nothing about it is distinctive from all the other New Super Mario Bros. games. Yet, I purchased it, and therefore didn't countless different players.
Maximum Football 2020 releases after this month. It frankly compares to overdue Xbox/early 360 graphically but it really has depth and customization unlike Madden. Honstely if your only game in town it's not like anybody has a choice just I'm just glad madden did not need to stick around and watch his name butchered. Unfortunately Madden & FIFA are games that are review-immune due to mixture of buy Madden 21 coins licensing / casual market reach. I get the impression Avengers will also fall into this category. The NFL & FIFA respectively don't require enough flak with this. They must see that their audience is not happy but don't switch to non-exclusive licensing anyway. Last year's I ceased playing a month in I'd the EA pro left until yesterday I didn't reup. I didnt like 20 or 21.
