RIGA – The Latvian national airline airBaltic announces a unique Behind the Scenes Technical Department event on April 25, 2024 in its technical facilities in Riga – an unprecedented opportunity for professionals across various technical fields to explore the aviation industry from the inside and for those considering new career opportunities.
This initiative is designed to attract individuals from diverse technical backgrounds, including civil engineering, transportation, vehicle mechanics, and more, offering them a unique glimpse into the airline’s daily operations in its modern hangar and encouraging them to consider joining the airBaltic team.

The open day at airBaltic is scheduled for April 25, 2024, starting at 17:00 at the airBaltic technical facilities in Riga, Latvia (Tehnikas Street 3, Marupe County, Riga district).
airBaltic currently employs more than 2 500 professionals and is actively recruiting for various positions. The airline currently offers 33 open positions to attract over 150 new talents. airBaltic operates more than 130 routes from Riga, Tallinn, Vilnius, Tampere, and, seasonally, Gran Canaria, offering connections to a wide range of destinations in the airline’s route network in Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and the Caucasus region.
The airline continues the year strongly, carrying 360 700 passengers in March 2024 – a 24% increase compared to the same period last year. During the winter season, when the demand traditionally declines, consistently stable indicators of transported passengers can still be observed within a single month. In March, airBaltic performed 3 600 flights, marking a 16% increase from the previous year.

This summer season we have great offer for our customers on new destinations throughout the summer. With this expansion, we anticipate increased traffic to and from the Baltics. This year, airBaltic plans to add 18 new routes – 8 from Latvia, 4 from Estonia, 5 from Lithuania and 1 from Tampere (Finland). Additionally, the airline has added to its network seven new countries in the Balkan region, providing its customers with a wide range of travel options.
Recently, airBaltic Group reported an all-time record profit of 34 million euros for 2023. In the same year, the airline carried more than 4.5 million passengers and performed over 44,000 flights.
