Plans to tear down a small Texas church where a gunman in 2017 killed more than two dozen worshippers are bringing visitors back to the rural sanctuary as there's a last-minute push to stop the demolition. Leaders of First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs have not publicly announced the timeline. On Tuesday, a Texas judge approved a temporary restraining order sought by some families to delay demolition. Swaths of California are sweltering and things are only expected to get worse during the Fourth of July holiday week for parts of the United States, with nearly 90 million people under heat alerts. A Minnesota prosecutor says police investigating a potential sexual abuse case in a Minneapolis suburb found themselves in a gunbattle against a well-armed resident in a darkened home while trying to protect seven children inside. Sales were crimped in late June, when cyberattacks knocked out software from CDK Global that dealerships use to do sales paperwork. Читать дальше...

The project still requires an additional federal approval of its construction and operations plan and two state-level permits before construction can begin. Interior Secretary Deb Haaland says this is the ninth offshore wind project approved under the Biden administration. Atlantic Shores would be built between... Читать дальше...
