The Supreme Court has unanimously decided that Facebook text message alerts don’t violate laws against unwanted auto-dialed calls. The court ruled that a lower court defined illegal “robocalls” too broadly and that the term should only apply to systems that generate lists of numbers and call them indiscriminately, not a system that simply stores numbers and automatically calls them.

Casio has announced the first Wear OS smartwatch in its long-running G-Shock lineup: the GSW-H1000. The watch will retail for $699 in the US or £599 in the UK, and it will be available in red, blue, or black. With shock resistance and water resistance up to a depth of 200 meters, Casio says the GSW-H1000 is a fitness-focused wearable designed for everything from surfing to snowboarding.

1Password is offering Verge readers a big discount on a family subscription to its password managing software through Thursday, April 15th. Normally $5 per month, buying into this deal will get you a year’s worth of service for $2.50 per month, totaling $30 by the end of the year. Once the year is up, your monthly cost will go up to $5 per month if you choose to continue with the service. This deal is valid for new users only, not returning customers.

Amazon is taking a bigger step into cars today by integrating Alexa into Lamborghini’s Huracán EVO, and not just to ask questions or remotely control your home — it’s giving the assistant the ability to control settings inside the car, hands-free. NBCUniversal is mulling whether to remove its films from HBO Max and Netflix and put new movies on its own streaming service, Peacock, according to Bloomberg.

Netflix has acquired the rights to two Knives Out sequels, with Rian Johnson returning to direct the next whodunits and Daniel Craig reprising his starring role as Detective Benoit Blanc, Variety reports. Variety says the deal is worth $450 million, and Deadline reported that the deal would be “worth north of $400 million.”
