Racist Instagram exchanges have gone viral in China, despite the platform being blocked. A Dolce & Gabbana fashion show has been apparently canceled in China as hordes of online users accuse the brand of racism. First denounced by famous actors including Zhang Ziyi (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon), the brand pulled its Shanghai fashion show last night after a dozen models left, and now, online platforms like Net-A-Porter and Alibaba’s Taobao have swiftly stopped carrying its wares in China.

Amazon users who tuned into stream Doctor Who’s latest episode, “Kerblam!” experienced a little more time traveling than they bargained for. Rather than airing the correct episode, Amazon Prime Video apparently skipped ahead to “The Witchfinders,” an episode set to air this coming Sunday.

The US Postal Service says it’s fixed a security weakness on usps.com that let anyone see the personal account info of its users, including usernames and street addresses. Apple has resumed production of the iPhone X due to weaker than expected demand for its latest XS and XS Max models, according to a report by The Wall Street Journal. The move is allegedly due to an agreement made with Samsung to purchase a certain quantity of OLED screens. With this year’s OLED-equipped models failing to sell in the quantities needed to fulfill the terms of the deal, the report suggests that Apple is turning to last year’s model for a solution. Researchers at MIT have developed a plane capable of flying without any moving parts, reports MIT Technology Review. The feat was achieved using electroaerodynamic propulsion, which uses a pair of electrodes to push around ions and create ionic wind. The phenomenon has been known about since the 1960s (in fact, Apple even considered using it to cool its laptops back in 2012), but this is the first time it’s been used to propel a plane.

Google Duplex, the automated service that calls up businesses to make bookings on your behalf, has received a limited public launch, reports VentureBeat. In a statement, Google said that it’s starting its “slow rollout” of the service, which is now available to a “small group” of Google Pixel phone owners in “select cities.” As well as expanding its availability with users, the service can also call restaurants that Google hasn’t explicitly partnered with.

While much of the response to Diablo Immortal was less than enthusiastic, Blizzard remains optimistic about mobile gaming — and according to a report in Kotaku, has another potentially gigantic project up its sleeve. An “incubation department” at the studio is said to be working on a Warcraft mobile game that’s heavily influenced by Pokémon Go.

Amazon is no longer going to block users in Australia from accessing Amazon.com or other international versions of the site. At $799 and $899 respectively, Google’s Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL are the most expensive phones Google has ever made, and arguably also the best. California-based electric car startup Faraday Future might have a strange new ally in its roiling fight with main investor Evergrande: the Trump administration. The Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) issued an update on Wednesday to its “Section 301” investigation into China’s alleged practices of intellectual property theft and technology transfer, and Faraday Future was listed among the many examples cited in the refreshed report.

China’s biggest app, WeChat, partnered with InterContinental to open a smart hotel in Shanghai that lets users book rooms, remotely check in, and use their phones as key cards — all without requiring human assistance. Once they’ve completed their reservation, travelers verify their identity at the hotel through facial recognition and collect their digital key card.
