A PLUS-SIZE fashionista has hit back at vicious trolls who mock her ”apron belly” and say that her build is ”wild”.
Style lover Lindsey is a size 22/24 and has an apron belly, a condition medically known as a pannus stomach.
As explained by Very Well Health, the so-called ”apron belly” is used to describe a sagging stomach or skin that hangs from the abdomen area, which tends to sometimes – but not always – occur after pregnancy or changes in someone’s weight.
Having a pannus stomach is normal for many and not exclusive to plus-size people only – however, the condition can cause discomfort and even lead to skin infections.
With the rise of body positivity on social media, thousands of people are raising awareness about different medical conditions and preaching self-love no matter the shape and size – and amongst them is also Lindsey.
The dark-haired stunner, who proudly calls herself ”Apron Belly Girlie” on Instagram and TikTok – regularly shares fashion-related content, after spending years believing that some trends would be ”off limits” for her.
The fashionista, from Texas, the USA, now wears whatever she fancies, whether that’s mini dresses or bikinis, despite cruel trolls comparing her to Mike Wazowski from Monsters Inc.
”Whatever this era is, it is screaming confidence,” she recently said in an uplifting post on her page.

But whilst her social media fanbase is growing, with Lindsey regularly reminding to wear pieces that ”make you feel good”, the style fan has also found herself an army of vicious bullies who mock her.
”Wild character creator build,” wrote one nasty person under a more recent clip.
Someone else added: ”You can keep lying to yourself how much you want, that ain’t normal.”
”Someone actually f***king tell me how this is possible,” a troll wondered.
Luckily, none of the negative remarks seem to have affected the young woman, who reminded that human bodies come in all shapes and sizes, every single one of which is worthy of being celebrated.
”We don’t all have flat tummies and big booties, and that’s ok,” Lindsey wrote, proudly posing in cute denim shorts and a baggy T-shirt.
”There is more than one “right” way to look in this world. It’s our differences that make us beautiful.
”If you have a problem with my plus size confidence, again that’s on YOU.”
She went on to add that no matter what the bullies say or do, there is no stopping her – as Lindsey is here on a mission.
Also known as a pannus stomach or mother’s apron, the so-called apron belly occurs when the belly and fat surrounding the internal organs expands due to weight gain or pregnancy.
As explained by Heathline, this results in ”additional fat deposits in the omentum (an apron-like flap under your abdominal muscles and in front of your intestines)”.
Although for some it’s entirely normal – and men can also develop this condition – an apron belly can increase the risk of some cancers, such as ovarian cancer.
”I’m gonna be me, even if you have nasty things to say about me because I’m determined to make this world a kinder place for us all.”
It’s not just the rising social media star urging others to be kinder – hundreds of others raced to hit back at the trolls, praising Lindsey’s message and positivity.
”Yessss! My exact body type,” a fashionista wrote.
”You are so gorgeous,” someone else told Lindsey, who boasts more than 11k followers on her Instagram.
”You are amazing!” another thanked the body positivity influencer for spreading the message.
