A WOMAN was left raging after realising a fellow shopper had stolen her trolley with her £1 inside.
She revealed she was putting her groceries in the car when the ‘cheeky f***er’ stole her trolley form right under her nose.
She took to social media to rant about the event that took place, writing: “So, shopped at Aldi earlier today where you have to insert £1 to get a trolley.
“I usually drive into a parking space, but reversed in today. While loading the shopping into my car I rested the trolley in front of my bonnet.
“I had three large bags of shopping, which I took one by one to the boot.”
But once she had finished putting her shopping away and went to collect her trolley and £1 – the shopper realised it had been taken.
“Once I finished loading the last bag I realised someone had taken off with my trolley,” she exclaimed.
Hoping to catch the perpetrator, she went looking around to catch them in the act but had no luck.
She continued: “I was really hacked off, not just because of the £1 I’d lost, but because I couldn’t believe someone would do this!
“AIBU (am I being unreasonable) to think whoever did it is A CF (cheeky f***er)?.”
While she was clearly ticked off by the situation, it seemed many couldn’t help but laugh at the cheeky actions that had taken place.
The post on Mumsnet soon attracted comments and many claimed it was cheeky – but also very stealthy.
One person wrote: “Could win a medal for CF & stealth.”
Another commented: “That would so annoy me.”
“Haha very stealthy!” penned a third.
Meanwhile a fourth said: “They probably couldn’t see you and thought it was a random trolley.”
WHEN it comes to shopping at Aldi, the best time to do so depends on what you want to buy.
For reduced items – when shops open
Red sticker items are rare at Aldi’s 830 UK stores, but the supermarket says that none of its food goes to waste so there are some to be found – if you’re quick.
A spokesman for the supermarket said: “All items are reduced to 50 per cent of the recommend sales price before stores open on their best before or use by dates.”
That means you have the best chance of finding reduced food items if you go into stores as soon as it opens.
Opening times vary by shop but a majority open from 7am or 8am. You can find your nearest store’s times by using the supermarket’s online shop finder tool.
For Specialbuys – Thursdays and Sundays
Specialbuys are Aldi’s weekly collection of items that it doesn’t normally sell, which can range from pizza ovens to power tools.
New stock comes into stores every Thursday and Sunday, so naturally, these are the best days to visit for the best one-off special deals.
For an even better chance of bagging the best items, head there for your local store’s opening time.
You don’t have to head into stores to bag a Specialbuy, though.
They also go on sale online, usually at midnight on Thursday and Sunday, and you can pre-order them up to a week in advance.
As long as you spend at least £25, you’ll get the items delivered for free.
Remember: once they’re gone, they’re gone, so if there’s something you really want, visit as early as possible
“Yeah. They’re not a cf. just took a trolley on way into shop. Think about it as paying them to take it back for you if that eases it for you,” claimed a fifth.
Someone else added: “Maybe the shop thought it was abandoned and cleared it away.”
