Rivals Manchester City and Manchester United clash in a repeat of last year’s FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium on Saturday.
The Cityzens won that clash 2-1 to complete an historic treble, and could secure themselves a double after pipping Arsenal to the Premier League title on the final day of the season.
It would be City’s third Premier League and FA Cup double under Pep Guardiola, and they’re expected to clinch it with the bookmakers pricing them at odds-on 1/3 to lift the trophy for an eighth time.
And it’s easy to see why. Manchester City are unbeaten inside 90 minutes in their last 36 consecutive-matches – a record stretching back to December 2023.
Since suffering defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League, City have won seven on the spin, scoring 21 goals and conceding just three with five clean sheets.
Guardiola also has reasons to be cheerful having won 15 of his 25 clashes with Manchester United, drawing three and losing just seven.
As for the Red Devils, they managed to finish their turbulent season in good enough fashion with back-to-back wins over Newcastle and Brighton.
However, despite winning the FA Cup a whopping 12 times – they’ve only won it once since 2004 and have lost six of their last seven against the Cityzens, including both league fixtures this season.

It’s difficult to see Manchester United laying a glove on their neighbours in Saturday’s FA Cup final.
Yes, Erik ten Hag’s side have looked better in their last two outings, but City’s defence has been rock solid with only Arsenal conceding fewer than their 34 Premier League goals this season.
It’s also interesting to see that City have conceded just 16 efforts on target in their last seven matches and the fewest overall attempts in the division.
City beat United 3-1 and 3-0 in this year’s league meetings with Ten Hag’s side registering a total of four shots on target in over 180 minutes – while nobody created fewer big chances than United’s three in the last four games of the campaign.
A favourite bet of mine is Bernardo Silva getting booked on the big occasion and against the bigger sides.
The Portuguese magician, 29, has collected nine cautions in 48 matches this season and more than half of those came against sides who finished in the top six plus Real Madrid.
Silva has received four bookings in 15 appearances against Manchester United, while his highest number of cautions came against Liverpool (7) and Arsenal (5). He looks a price at 4/1 to increase that tally this weekend.

The Belgian superstar, 32, has delivered 18 assists in 25 appearances this season and that’s despite having missed 35 games through injury or illness in the 2023-24 campaign.
He created 21 big chances for his colleagues in the league this season, and that’s 11 more than Phil Foden who played more than double the amount of minutes. He’s also tormented United over the years having netted three goals and provided six assists in 18 games.
