A COUPLE have been brutally slammed by vicious trolls after sharing their gender reveal video.
Mum-to-be Abbey Smallshaw took to TikTok to announce the wonderful news and post a clip of the duo finding out they were expecting a sweet baby boy.
In the video, which has since taken the social media platform by storm, Abbey and her partner could be seen standing outside what she later said to be her ”mother’s house”.
With phones and cameras ready, as well as neighbours sitting outside and observing the moment, the loved-up duo opened the cannon of confetti.
The front garden was soon covered in dozens of teeny pieces of colourful paper, before a dog dashed past Abbey and her man – with a blue balloon attached to the collar.
”It’s a boy,” the thrilled mum-to-be wrote on the clip, alongside two blue heart emojis.
However, despite the fabulous announcement touching the hearts of many, the gender reveal was also soon brutally mocked by hundreds of trolls online.
Close to a staggering 200 TikTok users reckoned that Abbey, dressed in a summery romper, and her boyfriend half-naked with a pair of shorts on, should’ve found different outfits for the big day.
”Nice they dressed up for the occasion,” a person said, as others liked the comment.
Someone else chimed in: ”Council estate, everyone else sits out the front.”
”Wahoo! It’s a benefit,” another mean person penned, as a troll reckoned that ”no gender reveal would’ve been better”.
Meanwhile, others had a go of guessing the little one’s moniker, with one writing: ”The baby will be called either Jayden, Cayden or Okayden.”
Thankfully, it wasn’t all just harsh remarks, as dozens also reminded others to be kinder to one another.
”I have no words 
my mum always said if I can’t say anything nice then don’t say it!” a person wrote.
”That baby is gunna be gorgeous,” one social media user said.
”People are mean, enjoy one of life’s greatest blessings,” someone else hit back at the trolls.
GENDER reveals are becoming bigger and more elaborate day by day, with people constantly thinking of different ways to up those before them.
And money is no issue for a lot of these couples – with some spending hundreds or thousands on the event.

“It was worth every second of the hard work to see the happiness in everyone’s faces on the day,” Ste said, after spending a further £40,000 on the big reveal.
Logan Paul
The wrestling star and YouTuber and fiancee Nina Agdal staged a public wrestling match for their gender reveal.
A wrestler in pink trunks took on one in blue, with the one in pink emerging victorious – signifying that they are having a baby girl.
Inga Stumbriene
The Lithuanian influencer hired planes to fly in the sky as she, her fiance and their nearest and dearest watched.
The planes dropped a load of blue confetti – revealing the pair were having a boy – but people insisted it was the “most polluted” gender reveal ever.
Anonymous couple
One of the most recent jaw-dropping gender reveals happened in May 2024, when a couple decided to DYE a waterfall to reveal if they were having a boy or girl.
After the videos circulated on the social media, the public demanded for the couple to be punished, with some suggesting they should go to jail.
Others were concerned about water contamination, as the pair had used a powdered chemical known as “Blue Lagoon” into the Queima-Pe River, which feeds the waterfall.
After her video took the platform by storm, winning Abbey close to a whopping 240k views in just one day, the mum-to-be also shared a response.
As explained in the follow-up clip, the gender reveal took place at her ”mother’s house” which is located on ”a council estate”.
”I don’t see what the issue is there,” Abbey said, adding that she wasn’t a recipient of Universal Credit and her the dad-to-be ”works”.
”We work for what we have, right? So maybe you should all think about what you say before you comment.
”We had a great time – and that’s all that really matters.”
