A REDDITOR has revealed the timeless beauty tricks that were passed down from her father.
He even shared a tip for thicker eyebrows, and the secret has to do with your age.
Reddit user Fake_Tan asked for beauty tips on the social platform, and many others delivered.
They requested some from mothers, but Redditor Jeszmhna revealed a few she got from her dad in a comment.
They touch on fitness, hair growth, skincare, and overall wellness.
He also gave eyebrow advice that keeps them from getting too thin.
“As you get older, keep a longer gap between your eyebrow appointments,” she said.
There’s a specific reason why this may benefit your brows in the long run.
If you used to get them done every month up to your mid-20s, start to space them out.
After you hit this age range try to do them every five to weeks.
Then once you hit 30 space them out even more and have them threaded or waxed every six to eight weeks instead.
This is because as you get older hair growth slows down.
“He said if you maintain the frequency then there is a very high chance of having very thin brows later on in life,” she explained.
Celebrity esthetician Kristin Gunn also shared one of the easiest ways to screw up your brows with The U.S. Sun.
“Don’t make the mistake of over-plucking and waxing. It can take six to eight weeks for the eyebrows to grow back completely,” she said.
Another had to do with overall dental hygiene, which makes a big difference in your overall appearance.
She said her father told her to “always look after your teeth.”
This goes far beyond just regular brushing and flossing.
He also said to use mouthwash regularly and carry listerine strips with you on top of seeing the dentist twice a year.
Next, she touched on overall body hydration and anti-aging techniques for more youthful skin.
Make sure your hands and elbows are properly moisturized.
She also recommended bringing your beauty products down to your neck.
She also emphasized the importance of using sunscreen often, so constantly reapply.
Next, she explained how regular movement is good for your overall wellbeing.
If you’re not someone who lives a particularly active lifestyle, then integrate a regular walking schedule into your daily regimen.
The last tip resonated with many Redditors because it emphasized the importance of self-love.
She said that at the end of the day, he taught her that “beauty will fade.”
“Make sure your life doesn’t revolve around your beauty but don’t be ashamed of caring about the way you look and making an effort to want to look good,” she added.
“Honestly that last one hit home for me. Thanks for that,” a reader commented.
“I don’t have a dad but yours sounds lovely,” another Reddit user admitted.

She told The U.S. Sun that her goal is to equip patients with the knowledge they need to take control of their skin journey.
She said the fundamental basics of a beauty routine are the same for all ages — it should include an effective cleanser, moisturizer, and SPF.
“Moisturizers are my superstar, even over products containing active ingredients,” she said.
“Finding a well-balanced moisturizer that provides the right kind of hydration, replaces natural oils, and seals them in, literally stabilizes your skin.
“This in itself quickly can soften the appearance of fine lines and texture, as often these are worsened by dehydration.
“It also allows the skin to function as it should.
“It then can heal faster, which, among many things, can lead to fewer lines and wrinkles, less flares of dermatitis and rosacea, and shorter-lived, milder breakouts.”
