AN INTERIOR designer has revealed all of the things that make your home look cheap.
Kiki shared her tip via a video posted to her TikTok channel.
The first thing that she said is a no-no is cluttered shoes.
Clutter clogs up the flow of the room, and makes design choices seem less intentional.
Instead of leaving shoes lying around, buy a cheap storage unit from B&M or Home Bargains to store your shoes neatly away.
The next thing that Kiki isn’t a fan of, is rugs that are too small.
Small rugs can make a room look smaller and also appear disjointed.
The interior designer also recommended against wall to wall curtains and curtains that drag along the floor, as these can look messy.
Kiki said that draping fabric over furniture, such as the TV stand or a sofa can also make your home looks tacky.
Instead, try mounting the TV on the wall, or decorating the sofa with cushions instead.
Finally, she warned against having your kitchen counters too cluttered with utensils.
Instead, invest in some storage units to put things in, so that your counters are as minimal and clutter free as possible.
Kiki’s video, which was posted under the username @kiki_5760, has likely struck a chord with many people, as it has racked up over 1.4 million views on the video sharing platform.
TikTok users raced to the video’s comments section to share their thoughts.
