A FORMER tattoo enthusiast has opened up about their ink regret.
They explained that though they no longer wanted all the tattoos on their body, they were past a point of no return.

“I regret ever getting tattooed. I have so many tattoos that I’ve lost count,” they said.
The problem, they explained, wasn’t with the ink’s quality.
“Most of them are really great work, too, all-American traditional,” they said.
“I have never left a session unhappy with a tattoo. I really do like them all.”
Instead, the issue lies in tattoos’ permanent nature and human nature’s fickleness.
“Guess I’ve just changed as a person because every time I look in the mirror, I just miss my bare skin,” they admitted.
“I wish I could go back in time and never get tattooed at all. I have so many, though, that I would probably spend the rest of my life getting them removed if I were to.
“Not to mention, I do not have that kind of money. So I just say, f**k it and keep on getting tattooed because I’m already covered, and there’s no going back now.”
“It’s just depressing being [uncomfortable] in your own skin, not feeling like yourself at all, and there’s nothing you can do about it now. Anyone else?” they asked.
Hoards of former tattoo fans agreed that they’d made a rash decision with their body ink.
“Yes, I really regret being tattooed; I hate it so much; always having to cover it is very depressing,” said one commenter.
“I have three tattoos and regret them all,” said another.
“I’m what many people would consider ‘heavily’ tattooed. One arm- full sleeve from shoulder to wrist, one leg- fully covered from toes to hip, full belly, full back, shoulders,” said a third.

“I have no hand tattoos and no neck/face tattoos. If I’m wearing shoes, jeans, and a long-sleeved shirt, you can’t see any of my tattoos except my chest tattoos.
“I deeply regret [the] placement because even with generally modest tops, they still show because they are very close to my neckline,” they added.
“I actually REALLY love most of my tattoos, but the ONE thing I hate is when I’m fully clothed, and nothing shows EXCEPT my chest tattoos.
“It’s the one place that shows. If it weren’t for those, I could walk around without anyone seeing a single one. That’s what I’m currently removing.
“[A] big motivation is that I love to wear dresses, but my chest tattoos are the one thing that really brings me down for some reason.
“Once I have a clean, bare chest again, I could literally wear regular clothes and still present as if I have no tattoos.”
