A TOP plastic surgeon has shared the beauty habit that her patients with the best skin all have in common.
She admitted many think the skincare practice might sound annoying, but it works — and keeping a famous Greek philosopher in mind can make all the difference.
Dr. Lara Devgan, who is based in New York City, has a notable patient list with icons like Kim Kardashian and Jennifer Aniston among her fans.
She previously shared her personal anti-aging routine with The U.S. Sun and revealed the lifestyle habits that could be causing your wrinkles.
Now she is shedding light on a common practice among the youthful-looking patients who visit her practice.
Their secret to good skin isn’t hard to follow, but she said that it “sounds really annoying.”
What is true and consistent among all of them is that they all wear their sunscreen.
She quoted a famous Greek philosopher who influenced her mindset.

But Dr. Devgan has a twist on that.

“Always stay consistent with the products as it takes two to three months to see actual results,” she said.
Dr. Devgan also said that part of their appearance is due to semi-regular visits to her Upper East Side office.
She explained that her patients come in and see her quarterly, depending on what they want done.
This can be topical like lasers, microneedling, and injections, as well as more invasive procedures like plastic surgery.
“It is what they do after they see me that sets up successful habits,” she added.
Dr. Lara Devgan, who has worked with many household names including Kim Kardashian, spoke to The U.S. Sun about her own routine for combating fine lines and wrinkles.
“We tend to prioritize the skin on our faces a lot but people often forget the skin on their neck, decolletage, chest, and back of their hands,” she said.
She recommended consistently applying skincare products to those thinner areas of the skin as well.
The health professional also emphasized the importance of having a good balanced diet, exercising and building muscle mass, managing stress, and limiting sugar intake to prevent glycation on the skin.
She also recommended incorporating strength training and weight-lifting exercises into your workout routine.
Dr. Devgan added that she does her best to sleep on her back every night to prevent wrinkles from forming on her face.
By implementing these habits it creates “great youthful skin going forward.”
