WITH the weather in the UK finally heating up, chances are parents will soon be digging out old paddling pools for the kids for some fun in the sun.
But if your garden inflatable is covered in mud and mould after months of being stored away, then we’ve got some good news for you!
A woman asked for advice on how to clean her filthy paddling pool[/caption]There’s no need to fork out a small fortune on a brand new one…because it turns out there’s a super cheap and cheerful way you can clean it for as little as just £1.39.
It comes after a woman took to Facebook group ‘FAMILY LOWDOWN TIPS & IDEAS‘ and shared a snap of her grubby paddling pool that was in desperate need of a clean.
“Any tips to get clean?” she asked.
And luckily, the homeowner wasn’t short of answers, with many all sharing the same bargain solution – Astonish Mould and Mildew spray.
“Just had same with my hot tub, I sprayed mould & mildew remover all over it, left for 5 and scrubbed, needs another once over but it’s almost like new!” reassured one.
A second agreed: “Astonish mould cleaner. Although might degrade the plastic. But best stuff around!”
“Mould and milbrew or elbow grease stuff from,” a third suggested.
“Home bargains and scrub. Alternatively a magic eraser will help the white bits.”

Meanwhile, a fourth noted: “It will clean up. Mould and mildew spray on the white bits or some pink stuff.
“On the base a floor mop or an old towel wrapped around the brush head.
“Might be a little more work that you hoped but it’s still inflated and your kids will love it so it will definitely be worth the time.”
The cheap product, which is sold in B&M for just £1.39, claims to “effectively remove mould & mildew in minutes, killing 99.9% of bacteria.”
The online product description adds: “Quick and easy to use, no scrubbing required. Simply spray, leave and wipe clean!”
It wasn’t long before the comments section was flooded with other alternative suggestions, with Fairy Liquid also proving to be a popular choice.
The kitchen cleaning staple can be bought for as little as £1 from your local supermarket.
“That’s exactly what mine looked like this morning, bit of Fairy Liquid and a brush and it’s come up new!! No need to be buying brand new!!” another person commented.
A further who admitted she’s faced the same cleaning battle “so many times” advised: “Barefoot, pair of shorts and get in with a hose a soft brush and fairy liquid to get the worse off and then leave to dry brush out and repeat if necessary.

Meanwhile, others suggested Pink Stuff, which retails at just £1.50 from Sainsbury’s.
“Pink stuff, mine came up great,” one homeowner advised, with another adding: “Agree. Pink stuff all the way!”
Elsewhere, a social media user who noted that work for a water company commented: “We only recommend Milton baby bottle cleaner as it’s the best mould killer.
“It also prevents it coming back and is safe to use.”
