WITH the cost of everything going up and up, you’ve probably thought about selling your old clothes online.
You might want to reconsider though, especially after hearing about what one woman accidentally uploaded to Vinted.
You might want to check through your Vinted listing after seeing this listing[/caption]If you have already listed clothes on the app, now might be a good time to check through your photos – especially when you spot the X-rated items in the background.
At first glance, you might struggle to notice what is up with this Vinted listing.
Even the most eagle-eyed of viewers might not be able to spot the adult toys lurking behind the Balenciaga style mini bag.
However, in the top-left hand corner are some very bright rend fluffy handcuffs.
There is even a large glass sex toy that blends into the floral bedding as well as a smaller metal toy that glints against the lighting.
While most of us would never upload to the app ever again, the Vinted seller was thankfully able to see the funny side.
Rather than just taking the handbag down and relisting it, they later shared the embarrassing moment in a hilarious viral video.
Posted on TikTok, the user confessed in the caption: “This was up for too long before I noticed.”
Needless to say, the spicy video has gone viral on social media and has been viewed by over 86,000 people.
In the comments, one user even revealed they’d seen the listing on Vinted and said: “OMG I swear I saw this in my recommended! And I never noticed.”
To which the seller admitted: “It did nearly 24 hours without me noticing.”
Others also joked about the NSFW items being in the background, with another adding: “Love the handcuffs in the back.”
A third then teased: “She was going to sell those ones later.”
Though the Vinted seller was able to see the funny side, it’s an reminder to clear your background before taking photos for listings.
One savvy seller even claims to have made over £1,200 on the reselling site, just by being particular about the photos she uploads.
The seller later sahred a zoomed in photo of the listing on TikTok[/caption] If you are keen to sell items on Vinted, it’s important have a clear background[/caption]While it may sound too good to be true, Rebecca Hilliard insists that her clothes sell fast when the main image is her wearing them.
Sharing the hack on TikTok, she explained that she made over 121 Vinted sales in January and February using this method.
“I’ve found my items gain much more traction and sell quicker when the cover photo is an image of me actually wearing the item,” she told her followers.
Notably, the savvy seller ensures the background is clutter-free in her listings – so nothing distracts from the product.
If only everyone would remember to clear their space before taking photos.
