THIS is the awkward moment BBC news presenter Maryam Moshiri was caught off guard while live on TV once again in a hilarious clip.
Viewers were stunned to watch the veteran broadcaster slip up in yet another laughable faux pas.
As the Beeb cameras started rolling, Maryam looked sheepish as she quickly adjusted her hair.
Panic suddenly set in as she realised they were live and an assistant started re-styling it too.
She gave them a rapid nudge and paused awkwardly before launching into the segment.
Maryam then went into detail about the Netherlands being disqualified from the Eurovision Song Contest.
After the blooper circulated social media, Maryam wrote on Instagram: “Ah so embarrassing! Sorry I thought I had more time and there IS a delay between output and what I hear!
“But this time it’s all about the hair. As the inimitable Fleabag once said ‘hair is everything’”
One fan joked: “I’m sure they’re doing it to her on purpose at this point.”
“Looool she’s really good at just carrying on! That professional approach to keep it going is elite,” said another.
“She’s the Icon,” agreed a third.
It comes after her famous middle finger blunder left fans filled with second-hand embarrassed while most creased with laughter.
Maryam, under the impression she wasn’t live, counted down from 10 using her hands but opted for her middle finger to represent number one.
The news anchor flipped off the nation in her hilarious gaffe during a BBC News’ world feed at 12pm on December 6 last year.
She later apologised on X and wrote: “Hey everyone, yesterday just before the top of the hour I was joking around a bit with the team in the gallery.
“I was pretending to count down as the director was counting me down from 10-0… including the fingers to show the number. So from 10 fingers held up to one.
“When we got to 1 I turned finger around as a joke and did not realise that this would be caught on camera.
“It was a private joke with the team and I’m so sorry it went out on air! It was not my intention for this to happen and I’m sorry if I offended or upset anyone.
“I wasn’t ‘flipping the bird’ at viewers or even a person really.
“It was a silly joke that was meant for a small number of my mates.”
Months later the presenter, who has since been dubbed an “icon” for her comical onscreen antics, baffled fans with an epic stunt.
The TV host demonstrated how she could bend a metal spoon in one of the News‘ most unusual moments ever.
Her unexpected antics came off the back of a report that saw a radio host bend a frying pan and Maryam wanted to show that she could also take on a similar challenge.
Although she admitted that his performance was “great” Maryam proved that she could do it just as well.
Speaking down the lens of the camera, Maryam said: “I want to show I am, in fact, the strongest person here at the BBC.”
She then whipped out a spoon to demonstrate her super strength as she continued: “This is a spoon from the BBC canteen, it’s a real spoon.”
Maryam then bashed the metal spoon against her skin for avoidance of doubt from any critics or naysayers.
The BBC favourite then fully bent the spoon in half within seconds and barely any effort required at all.
She later joked: “No spoons were harmed in the making of this film.”
In another bizarre segment, viewers were taken aback by Maryam’s seagull impression.
Maryam was midway through a news segment when she got inspired by the story of a young boy who had been on BBC Breakfast earlier that day showing off his seagull impersonation.
She said: “I can feel that you really want me to do an impression of a seagull, so I’m going to give it a go.”
The anchor then proceeded to squawk like a bird – and let’s just say her attempt did not live up to nine-year-old Cooper’s.
“Is that okay?” she giggled. “I’m hearing in my ear that I’ve been sacked. Oh well. C’est la vie, as they say.”
The beloved presenter has been praised for her comical performances and bringing some “entertainment” into the news.

They have three children together, including a daughter called Iris, and another called Vivien.
