BEAUTY buffs have been sent into a frenzy after realising there’s a store that sells make-up for under 10p.
Feeling great and looking confident go hand in hand – and if you’re on the lookout to slash your beauty costs, it’s worth checking out a less popular shop.
Looking to slash your beauty costs? Best check out the local Farmfoods[/caption]According to eagle-eyed shoppers, the discount retailer Farmfoods is selling a well-known eyeshadow palette by Revolution for pennies – and you will even get spare change from 10p.
The make-up essential – Creator Hydra Pigment Palette Bright Lights – is activated with water, and, as the brand claimed, ”will give you a lesson in colour”.
With eight intensely pigmented and vibrant colours in the palette, beauty lovers will indeed be ready to level up this summer.
What’s more, the bargain buy – selling for just 9p at the store – is versatile and can create more than just stunning eye make-up looks.
Use the water-activated product to choose and position it anywhere you like – whether that’s as an eyeliner, shadow, face, or body paint.
For best results that stay all day, simply wet your brush with water and blend it with the product before applying.
The palette, which is currently on sale for £6.98 elsewhere, comes with eight strikingly beautiful shades, including vibrant yellow, green, purple and blue.
What’s more, the Revolution cult favourite item – 77x cheaper at Farmfoods – has also become a major hit amongst beauty buffs.
One make-up enthusiast who’d given the product an impressive five-star rating said the palette’s ”highly recommended”.
”So pigmented, really amazing quality and stays on all day! Highly recommend.”
Another chimed in: ”I absolutely love the range of colours, which go on smoothly.
”You can easily control the pigment level of your work from soft watercolor right through to full boldness with no compromise on smoothness of application.”
Someone else was also raving about the product, writing: ”I’m in love with these.
”I love colourful makeup and was slightly skeptical that these would work but they’re fab!
”Takes a bit of practice to get the right amount of water for the correct consistency but once you do they’re great. Colours are so vibrant and they don’t fade all day.”
But instead of splurging out the full price, check out the local Farmfoods where it’s currently available for a mere 9p, as spotted by one member of the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group.
Dozens flocked to give the post a like, as others raced to tag their pals to inform them about the incredible deal.
”RUN,” yelled one beauty buff.
Another reckoned: ”Good for the girls’ dancing.”
IF your purse is feeling tighter than ever before and you're looking to save cash on your make-up routine, have you ever thought of trying out beauty dupes?
Here’s five of the best recommended beauty buys that are almost identical to the posh versions, but for a fraction of the price.
FACE BASE: If you can’t afford Charlotte Tilbury‘s £52 Magic Cream, why not try a dupe that costs just £5.49 from Superdrug?
TONE IT UP: If Drunk Elephant’s £62 Protini moisturiser is out of your price range, you’ll need to check out the new dupe in Home Bargains.
TINTING IT: With Fenty’s ‘game-changer’ skin tint costing an eye-watering £29, a popular supermarket’s affordable alternative might just be the thing for you.
GET COVERED: At £29 for a Tarte concealer, the new Primark dupe is much more affordable at just £3.50.
SPRAY YAY: For those wanting to smell fresh, without the price tag, Aldi’s new Prada and Chloe perfume dupes cost a fraction of the price.
Farmfoods have more than 300 stores across the country and you can find the nearest branch here.
Unfortunately, the retailer was forced to shut one of their locations based in Tranent, East Lothian.
Sadly, it wasn’t the first Farmfoods that’s set for closure last year – earlier in 2023, the discount specialist pulled down the shutters at its Baillieston branch.
In addition to beauty buys, the Scottish family business offers frozen food, chilled foods, other groceries, such as bread, milk, fresh fruit and vegetables, along with a range of household items.
Across the aisles shoppers will find the brands they know and trust – at prices they will love.
