PET owners are going wild after a major supermarket announced the return of a popular treat that will come in two favours.
Famour pet snack Doggy Ice Cream will return to all Aldi stores nationwide, the retail giant has confirmed.
Aldi has confirmed the return date for Doggy Ice Cream[/caption]Aldi said it is bringing the popular treat back after a severe demand by pet owners.
The freezer favourite was so popular when it launched that 30 tubs were bought from stores every minute, according to the retailer.
The sell-out product will now return to Aldi stores on May 13 – and will sell for just £2.99 for a pack of four.
Pet owners can find the popular dog treat in the frozen section of the supermarket.
And the Doggy Ice Cream will be offered in two delicious flavours: Pea and Vanilla and Carrot and Apple.
Being 100 per cent plant-based, it will make for a healthy as well as nutritious treat for all the furry friends who love snacking.
And it will also help them to keep cool in the warm summers coming ahead.
Julie Ashfield, Managing Director of Buying at Aldi UK, said: “We were delighted to see another positive response to our dog-friendly ice cream last year.
“Now it’s back, we hope even more beloved pets can enjoy”
However, it is important to note that the product will be sold as a Specialbuys item, which means shoppers will have to hurry before the stock ends.
Aisle of Aldi Specialbuys are often snapped up fast, making them some of the most covetable items on sale at the supermarket.
The Aisle of Aldi Specialbuys is the first place where shoppers can find Aldi’s most amazing products that are available in stores or about to hit shelves soon.
Aldi Specialbuys appear in store every Thursday and Sunday while stocks last!
While all Aldi Specialbuys are launched every Thursday and Sunday, shoppers can browse online on the Friday prior to see what’s coming up before venturing out to shop.

It comes after Aldi announced the return of a popular kids item selling £10 cheaper than Boots.
Customers were left raving after the discount supermarket relaunched the Nubi Rapid Cool Thermal Flasks set.
The amazing flask set – selling for just £34.99 – contains two thermal bottles which automatically cool down milk and baby formula to a perfect temperature in just two minutes.
And the gadget has a digital display that shows if the drink is ready to be served.
New parents looking for a bargain deal can now nab the exclusive limited-time offer from Aldi stores.
A customer who spotted the savvy deal wrote on Facebook: “Absolute lifesaver for night feeds.”
While another said: “Best thing I have bought since having my baby.”
A third wrote: “Highly recommend this set! Amazing and so convenient to use at him and on the go.”
For just £34.99, shoppers can grab a pack of two such flasks, which otherwise will set you back £44.99 bought from Boots.
Meanwhile, Aldi shoppers are going crazy after spotting a dupe of a McDonald’s fan favourite that was axed from menus two weeks ago.
The discount supermarket has just launched some halloumi-style fries and the item has already been given the thumbs up.
One eagle-eyed shopper spotted the new halloumi-style fries in their local supermarket and shared a post to the Snack Reviews Facebook page.
It read: “New halloumi style fries spotted in Aldi” accompanied by a picture of the item.
The halloumi-style fries come in a pack of 10 and cost £1.99, and they can be purchased off the website or in-store.
WHEN it comes to shopping at Aldi, the best time to do so depends on what you want to buy.
For reduced items – when shops open
Red sticker items are rare at Aldi’s 830 UK stores, but the supermarket says that none of its food goes to waste so there are some to be found – if you’re quick.
A spokesman for the supermarket said: “All items are reduced to 50 per cent of the recommended sales price before stores open on their best-before or use-by dates.”
That means you have the best chance of finding reduced food items if you go into stores as soon as they open.
Opening times vary by shop but a majority open from 7am or 8am. You can find your nearest store’s times by using the supermarket’s online shop finder tool.
For Specialbuys – Thursdays and Sundays
Specialbuys are Aldi’s weekly collection of items that it doesn’t normally sell, which can range from pizza ovens to power tools.
New stock comes into stores every Thursday and Sunday, so naturally, these are the best days to visit for the best one-off special deals.
For an even better chance of bagging the best items, head there for your local store’s opening time.
You don’t have to head into stores to bag a Specialbuy, though.
They also go on sale online, usually at midnight on Thursday and Sunday, and you can pre-order them up to a week in advance.
As long as you spend at least £25, you’ll get the items delivered for free.
Remember: once they’re gone, they’re gone, so if there’s something you really want, visit as early as possible
