Co-op shoppers are rushing to get their hands on an ‘unreal’ flavour cookie based on a popular mint chocolate bar
One eagle-eyed biscuit fan spotted some cookies on the retailers’ shelves made with Nestle peppermint aero.
The sweet-toothed shopper shared a picture of the cookies with fellow snack lovers in the Food Fans UK official Facebook group.
The post read: “NEW Aero Peppermint Cookies spotted in CO-OP!!” along with a picture of the sweet treat.
Fellow food fans rushed to the comments to share their thoughts and the post quickly racked up over 1k likes and 800 comments.
One person said: “These are unreal.”
Another commented: “Our Co-op had these and sold out in a week!”
While a third added: “OMG, I’m never gonna be skinny.”

The cookies come in a pack of four but the original post did not say how much they are.
We had a look on the website, but the cookies were not listed online, so it could be that you have to go to a physical store if you want to get your hands on them.

It is not just new flavour cookies that are getting chocolate fans in a frenzy.
B&M shoppers have been rushing to stores to get their hands on a Mars chocolate bar that has had fans drooling.
Honeycomb Salted Caramel Mars Bars are back in stores and fans can’t get enough of them.
The exciting flavour comes from Australia and was first launched in Australia in 2022 and the UK in 2023.
Meanwhile, Cadbury has left fans disappointed after scrapping its Dairy Milk orange bars.
The 180g snack was launched in 2021 following a surge in popularity for chocolate orange products.
But last month the manufacturer announced the bar had been withdrawn from shops to make way for more flavours.
At the start of 2024 Co-op made a major change to its rewards scheme and shoppers were left “gobsmacked”.
The supermarket ditched its points scheme in favour of offering members exclusive prices across food, insurance, funeral care and legal services.
It is not all bad news however as customers who already have money in the scheme will have until the end of 2024 to spend it.
The retailer said it plans to double the amount of member price lines available and will include brands for the first time.
Its member prices are different to other supermarket loyalty schemes because it has a fixed list of products to which member-only prices are applied.
Unlike at other supermarkets like Tesco, the member prices do not change every promotional period or flex on availability.
Co-op membership costs £1 and customers get personalised offers weekly depending on what they buy.
The retailer said its analysis showed that member prices were 90% better value than its previous rewards system, which saw customers earn 2p for every £1 spent on own-brand products.
THERE are plenty of ways to save on your grocery shop.
You can look out for yellow or red stickers on products, which show when they’ve been reduced.
If the food is fresh, you’ll have to eat it quickly or freeze it for another time.
Making a list should also save you money, as you’ll be less likely to make any rash purchases when you get to the supermarket.
Going own brand can be one easy way to save hundreds of pounds a year on your food bills too.
This means ditching “finest” or “luxury” products and instead going for “own” or value” type of lines.
Plenty of supermarkets run wonky veg and fruit schemes where you can get cheap prices if they’re misshapen or imperfect.
For example, Lidl runs its Waste Not scheme, offering boxes of 5kg of fruit and vegetables for just £1.50.
If you’re on a low income and a parent, you may be able to get up to £442 a year in Healthy Start vouchers to use at the supermarket too.
Plus, many councils offer supermarket vouchers as part of the Household Support Fund.
