A BUDGET crafter has shared her Anthropologie-inspired throw pillows that she made with Dollar Tree and Five Below buys.
She said the no-experience-needed home decor piece was her favorite DIY idea ever.
She was able to put together the DIY for just $5[/caption]Emilee (@entoem) shared the video with her TikTok followers.
“I think this is my favorite DIY I’ve ever come up with,” she said.
“These would make fantastic Christmas presents. I’ve had this idea for months but I’m finally getting around to it.”
Holding up two rugs from Five Below, she folded the tassel sides together and stitched down the sides.
Using $1 Dollar Tree twine and an embroidery needle, she created blanket stitches, leaving one side open.
After turning the pillow covers inside out, she filled them with stuffing, folding in the edges and stitching them shut.
“I like using ladder stitches for this step,” she said.
“Easy, cheap, no experience or sewing machine needed,” she said.
“Fluff and style. This looks like Target/Boutique/Anthropologie and it’s $5.”
People shared ideas for other crafts she could make using the rugs as a centerpiece.
“Super cute! Really thought you were making a bag, which would also be super cute,” said one commenter.
“Just bought a couple of these to make into DIY curtains for my camper!” said another.
“While watching I got the idea to make it into a wall hanging! Thanks!” said a third.
