BALAMORY star Julie Wilson Nimmo is making her grand return to the place her character used to call home.
The actress, famed for playing loveable teacher Miss Hoolie, has finally returned to Balamory for a brand new BBC series.
Balamory is a fictional Island filmed on Tobermory and now Julie, 52, also known as Jules, has headed back as part of her brand new programme.
However, she will not be donning her trusted green coat this time around with the star opting to strip off instead.
She will be putting her swimsuit on as she takes part in an open water swimming adventure alongside her husband, actor Greg Hemphill, 54.
It has all been captured for a brand new fly-on-the-wall documentary series title Jules and Greg’s Wild Swim.
Julie was left overcome with emotion as she held back tears upon arriving on the Island that catapulted her to fame as she remarked t her hubby: “I’m a big deal here.”
Paying tribute to her time on the show, in the programme Jules and Greg opted for a sing along as they drove past the many houses that were used during the filming of the children’s series.
They sang: “Do you see all the different coloured houses sitting by the sea.
“Well its part of the story in Balamory, which is the house for me?”
As they attempted to make their way to Tobermory Harbour for their big swim, Greg was left complaining as Jules was constantly stopped and pestered for photos as a result of being the most famous person ‘from’ the island.
Forced to deal with her fame, Greg jokingly remarked: “If we don’t get in that water soon, her head’s gonna explode.”
The harbour side was lined with fans who watched as Jules and Greg dived into the water below and took a swim in the freezing cold temperatures.
Recently, Jules and Greg opened up about their sex lives with Greg confessing to being a flop between the sheets when it came to intimate time with his wife.
He confessed that taking Viagra had done wonders for his marriage as it had allowed him to ‘perform’ again.
Greg told his wife on the show: “I’ll be absolutely honest with you, I’ve admired your honesty up until now where you’ve been talking about the menopause and stuff like that.
“I think the male equivalent of that truly is, I can’t really put it into words because I get too mortified.”
He then pretended his finger is drooping and said: “The male equivalent of the menopause is that.”
Balamory star Julie responded: “Being in your fifties and stuff like that, these things come up.” But the couple fall into hysterics after she admits, “That was the wrong thing to say.”
The couple went on to discuss fixing their issues in the bedroom.
Greg said: “I remember the first time I ever happened across this wonder drug Viagra and it was magic.
“I’ve got plenty to say about this goddamn thing.
“I went to the doctors, I said hey doctor how you doing? So I was having sex last night and it didn’t, didn’t…and he went ‘ah’.
“He knew right away what I was talking about and I think in that moment I stumbled into the great unsaid between men and women.”
He then hilariously told viewers: “I’m here to tell you, get the helping hand.”
Julie went on: “I remember feeling a bit hurt like oh no, Greg doesn’t fancy me anymore.
“I think woman do think that when the Viagra packet comes out and you’re like oh.
“But actually, get in amongst it.”
