Home Bargains has created the most insane TV snack and drink cup.
TikTokker @melika_zaidi shared the find with her 359k followers in a video captioned: “Can’t believe they had them!”
She explained: “I’ve literally just ran into Home Bargains for the ultimate snack cups everyone’s talking about.”
The camera then panned to the shelf and she exclaimed: “There they are! Oh my God!
“Shall I get the green ones to go with the sitting rooms?” She asked before “demonstrating” how the snack cup works in a rather chaotic manner.
The snack cup is basically a large plastic beaker, with a screw top that a small bow sits on, and in the middle there is a straw.
The idea is, you can put your snack of choice in the bowl, then take a sip of your drink from the beaker underneath through the straw.
“It’s going to be snack-central,” Melika remarked. “Imagine ice cream in the top then your beverage in the bottom.”
According to the product description on the Home Bargains website, the snack cups are “a versatile container designed to hold both beverages and snacks, providing convenience for on-the-go activities”.
“These cups are practical solutions for individuals who want the convenience of having both a beverage and snacks in one container,” it read.
“They are commonly used by people who are busy, often on the move, or looking for a compact and organized way to enjoy refreshments and snacks throughout the day.”
The snack cups come in several colours; blue, green, pink and red – of which the green is available to buy online.
They are priced at £1.99 but during Melika’s video, there was a ‘two for one’ label suggesting customers can get two snack cups for £1.99.
In another video, Melika showed how she used them.
She said: “It’s 11pm and I’m filling the snack cups.
“Take the bowls off. First of all, I’m going in strong with Bebeto Spaghetti for the snacks.”
For anyone wondering what Bebeto Spaghetti is, it’s a sour blue raspberry soft candy which is Melika’s “favourite”.
“Next, I’m coming in with some grapes,” of which she had chosen red grapes from a supermarket, followed by onion ring crisps and popcorn.
Melika also added “a Lindt Santa” to the bowl, presumably left over from Christmas, and a small Pick Up bar.
As for what drink she put in the cup, she took a bag of ice, added a few cubes and then topped with Diet Coke.
“Now the snack bowls go back on,” she said, before showing off the end result.
Melika’s followers were going wild for the snack cups, but there were several who were struggling to cope with the idea of all the snacks touching one another – namely the grapes and onion ring crisps.
Emma Moore commented: “Oh no not grapes in the same bowl as crisps and popcorn ahhhh.”
Iona added: “The grapes and onion rings together are giving me the ick lol.”
Megs chimed: “Now the grapes, sweets and popcorn all taste like onion rings.”
Emma Hendry said: “Nah everything is the same cup is giving me the FEAR.”
Lacey Cahoon had the perfect occasion to use these cups: “We need these for movie nights (sic).”
