IT’S World Clean Up Day today, which means many will be celebrating by giving their homes a good old scrub.
Many homeowners will want ease but maximum impact when it comes to cleaning their homes.
A cleaning professional has revealed a super cheap trick to get your bathroom floor sparkling[/caption]A survey by Zoflora found that 50 per cent of the UK agree they only like to do a big clean every now and then.
Despite this 80 per cent of the UK agree it is important to keep their homes clean and smelling fresh.
And 60 per cent use fragranced products in their homes, whilst a further 60 per cent want their homes to smell nice as a motivation to clean.
There are plenty of hacks out there which help to save money and time.
Some cleaning fans are going wild for a new cleaning hack they’ve just discovered.
Cleaning pro Azure MacCannell, who goes by the name of ‘livecomposed’ on TikTok, shared a video revealing the surprising trick whilst cleaning the bathroom floor.
Azure claims that using shaving cream, which can cost £1 from Boots, as well as a Clorox disinfectant.
Clorox is a brand sold in the US, and an equivalent in the UK would be Dettol and Milton disinfectant.
They captioned the video: “Works great to clean the floor and lift the smell.”
First, Azure sprayed shaving foam across their entire bathroom floor before using a mop to wipe it down.
They then added the disinfectant which reacted with the shaving foam.
In the video, they said: “When I tested the shaving cream around the toilet hack you asked for something that would disinfect too.
“This works great, you can see it foaming.”
She revealed that shaving cream will help to clean the floor[/caption]Many rushed to the comments section to share their thoughts.
One wrote: “I’ve always wanted to try cleaning with shaving cream.
“Then I forget to.”
Azure replied: “The Clorox worked great. I like something that disinfects, especially in the bathroom.”
Another added: “I haven’t tried the shaving cream, yet…I might have to!”
However, some offered a warning with the products.
One wrote: “bleach and ammonia make mustard gas, be careful using bleach near toilets and other cleaning products with ammonia.”
