A RANDY young couple who upset neighbours with their noisy nightly sex sessions said yesterday: “They’re just jealous.”
The bloke, 25, and his 22-year-old girlfriend drew complaints that their “loud grunting and moaning” was keeping other residents up at night.
But the passionate pair — who have become the talk of their trendy block of flats — hit back.
The proud fella said: “It’s weird to be called out as a top shagger, but we’re only doing what’s natural.
“They’re the ones who need to stop moaning.”
The marine industry worker said they had been having sex in the sitting room and bedroom with the balcony doors and bedroom window open because of the warm weather.
But the lovebirds — who don’t want to be named to save their blushes — insist complaints will not stop them.
They say they will close the window and turn the fan on to drown out the noises in Southampton.
The man said he and his newly-graduated girlfriend met four months ago on dating app Tinder.
They “hit it off” straight away after a successful date bowling in the city.
They are so keen on each other that they have sex at least one or two times a day, they said.
The pair were initially mortified after realising posts on Facebook about a noisy couple referred to them.
He said: “I saw that everyone was talking about it and it suddenly dawned on me that it was us.
“It was quite embarrassing to begin with but we’ve embraced it. There are worse things to be called out for.
“We’ve got a normal sex life, I don’t know what their problems are. Maybe they’re just not getting any.
“We’re sorry if it’s a bit noisy but we’re just enjoying ourselves.
“Someone said they were worried it sounded like my girlfriend might be in trouble, but it’s not like we’re into whips and chains.
“It’s all good, clean fun. I think everyone is probably just a little bit jealous.
“It’s going to be a hard one to live down but you’ve got to look on the funny side.”
The Sun yesterday told of the complaints from other residents.
The block is part of Southampton’s Centenary Quay development in Woolston, where flats sell for up to £200,000.
The chap has told friends about the situation and they find it “hilarious”.
But his girlfriend said. “I’ve not told anyone. Absolutely not!”
The fella said: “It must be that we were leaving that living room balcony door open, and then the bedroom window too.
“There’s a communal garden below and the balconies overlook it, so there are all the people that can hear.”
He owns the apartment but his girlfriend — who works in the creative arts and is currently out of work — stays over “quite a bit”.
He added: “People tend to keep themselves to themselves here so I was a bit surprised they were taking such an interest in our love life.”
