VIEWERS were left in hysterics at an athlete’s incredibly bizarre javelin technique.
And one even joked she looked as though her training was done by Captain Jack Sparrow.
One Polish athlete had fans in hysterics watching the World Championships[/caption] Adrianna Sulek pranced around flapping her spare hand up and down[/caption] Viewers could barely believe what they were watching[/caption] The technique seemed to work as she threw 41.63m, the third-best distance[/caption]Adrianna Sulek represented Poland in the heptathlon during the World Athletics Championships in Oregon.
And she stole the show with her unique style that went viral on social media.
Comedian Tim Vine picked up on Sulek’s strange preparation method, sharing a video showing her swaying from her left foot to her right repeatedly while wafting her non-dominant left hand up and down.
The 23-year-old athlete then sped up the hilarious prance and wrist motion as she bounced into her run-up before launching the spear.

Vine’s video has been viewed by more than 1.6million Twitter users as he captioned the post: “I’ve just seen my favourite ever Javelin build up.”
Radio 1 DJ Greg James added: “OK javelin is now my favourite sport.”
And Jimmy Anderson replied: “I await the first remix with a dance track.”
Plenty likened her to Pirates of the Caribbean star Sparrow.

One tweeted: “It’s like Jack Sparrow has trained her.”
Another added: “Jack Sparrow’s daughter aiming for the Olympics.”
And a third joked: “Channeling the power of Jack Sparrow.”
There were also tweets comparing Sulek to Paul Pogba taking penalties and a bird.
Another said: “Perhaps she conducts an orchestra in her spare time?”
One joked: “I thought it was the new discipline of artistic javelin…”
A third brilliantly wrote: “Strictly Come Javelin Throwing.”
And a further user quipped: “When you’re in the javelin at 12 but have an important fencing qualifier at 1.”
Sulek’s technique may be unconventional but it helped her launch the javelin 41.63m – the third-best effort in the field.
However, she fell agonisingly short of a medal in the heptathlon overall, finishing fourth.
Defending champ Katarina Johnson-Thompson, back from injury, ended the campaign eighth.
