DEAR DEIDRE: MY fiancée is talking about calling off our wedding because her family don’t approve of me.
It’s because I pretended I was single when we first got together, even though I’d been married before.
My fiancée’s family and friends are refusing to attend our wedding[/caption]My team and I are working safely from home but we are here to help you as always.

I know it was a mistake, but I soon told her the truth.
We grew past it and moved on.
I’m now 37 and she is 32.
We’ve booked a venue for next August when the pandemic should be over, but her family and friends are all refusing to attend.
I love her so much.
What can I do?
DEIDRE SAYS: It’s fair that deception has made those who love your fiancée worry you can’t be trusted.
Are you sure she herself is not having doubts?
Reassure her first and then talk to her family together.
Apologise and prove how strong a couple you are.
Invite them to the wedding and then leave them to think.
Time might help.
