EASTENDERS fans have been left horrified after Shirley Carter accidentally brought son Mick face to face with his paedophile abuser Katy Lewis.
The former pub landlord – who is played by actor Danny Dyer in the BBC soap – was left shocked when his former care worker stepped out of a cab in Albert Square.
“Michael Carter,” she said to a sickened looking Mick.
Viewers know that Katy groomed and sexually abused Mick when he was a child under her care as a council worker.
He was just 12 when he fathered her daughter Frankie in a rape that has left him with deep-seated anxiety issues.
And after Frankie sent a burly bloke around to make sure Mick would leave her alone, Shirley overheard and demanded the truth from her son.
Mick opened up slightly but couldn’t bring himself to spell out the abuse for his mother.
However Shirley misunderstood completely and didn’t realise what he was telling her.
And instead she thought it was best to call Katy and bring her to Walford, thinking she would be able to help Mick.
Shirley has no idea she has just brought her son’s paedophile rapist back into his life.
Viewers were horrified for Mick after Katy turned up.
One wrote: “Omg it’s Katie what a duff duff . Bring on Monday now . A huge congrats to EE tonight for this epically written episode.”
A second said: “Big mistake Shirley thinking mick would want to see Katy.”
Another added: “Oh god mick just seen Katy on the square.”
