One of the girl’s family members reported Skiby to the police, telling officials that the girl had been receiving the messages on Snapchat.
Court documents state Skiby messaged her: “I want to make love to you so bad it makes my body shiver,” “I miss you and I love you,” and “Please make sure you delete these messages.”
When police seized the girl’s phone, they discovered a picture of the girl with Skiby in bed, topless.
Court documents state the girl told law enforcement officials that a group of friends had watched a scary movie at Skiby’s home and they slept in his bed.
Following this, the child started sleeping in his bed during sleepovers and Skiby allegedly would touch her inappropriately, KUTV reported.
Skiby also forced the girl to take off her pants, court documents allege, repeatedly touch his private parts, and raped her more than once, according to KUTV.
It is unclear if or where the suspect is currently in custody.
