STRICTLY Come Dancing’s Hrvy risks a fix row as he admitted he’s had professional dance training ahead of his show debut.
The singer and dancer, 21, risks fans’ ire, as the celebrity contestants on the show are all amateurs.
HRVY has been taught choreography for his dance [/caption]However, in an interview from April unearthed by The Sun Online, HRVY admits to learning choreography for his live shows and music videos – though he’s received no classical training.
The star told Australian music site MusicFeeds: “I’ve been working on my dancing and constantly striving to improve myself, so I feel like that aspect is a lot better this time around.
“And I’ve got a live band, so that’s going to be even bigger as I usually perform with track, and still do, but it’s really cool to add live players to that dynamic.”
He added: “We normally do a week and a half of solid rehearsals for dancing, just so everyone confidently knows the direction for each song.
The singer’s song “Personal” has amassed over 200 million views[/caption]“Then we spend about 2-3 days with the musicians and pull all the tracks together and make sure everyone knows how to play the songs and that it collectively sounds good.”
HRVY’s reps declined to comment when approached by The Sun Online.
The 21-year-old, real name Harvey Leigh Cantwell, was announced as part of the line up of this year’s Strictly Come Dancing last week.
HRVY joins stand-up comedian Bill Bailey, EastEnders’ Maisie Smith and popstar Max George in this year’s line-up.

Caroline Quentin has dance training and even worked as a ballerina, whereas Maisie Smith admitted she’s had training in hip hop and street, in addition to already winning Strictly’s Children In Need 2019 special thanks to a cha-cha with Kevin Clifton.
Meanwhile, internet sensation HRVY has said he’s in the competition to win it – and believes he’s got the moves to make it all the way.
He told KISS Breakfast: “I love myself a challenge. I really want to win. I’m in it to win it. Let me tell you, if I go out the first week I’m going to have to change my name and move to a different country.

“One hundred per cent I’ve got it in me. I’m going to work so hard. My hips can move man, my hips don’t lie.”
