A CAT got stuck in a car engine — and hitched a 70mph ride down a dual carriageway.
Tatty travelled four miles before the driver pulled into a Lidl.
The moggy was only found after the driver pulled into a Lidl and lifted the car lid[/caption]He heard a meow and lifted up the lid to find the ginger moggy.
But Tatty leapt out and jumped under another car — and got stuck in its engine too.
The driver called the RSPCA, which sent collection officer Shane Lynn to rescue the moggy at Stockton-on-Tees, Co Durham.
Shane said: “Thankfully this intrepid cat had no injuries which was quite a surprise.
“It would have been quite hot being stuck in the engine.”
He was reunited with relieved owner Caroline Ludlam.
She said: “We’ve had a lot of loss in the last few years with two of our dogs and our cat was run over so I didn’t think we could handle anything else.
“We were just so relieved to have him back in one piece.”
