GORDON Ramsay made a career out of shouting obscenities at kitchen staff.
But in 2020, even the world’s most fiery chef has to be mindful of just how mean he’s being. Applicants on his new show Future Food Stars, which his production company is making for BBC1, have been warned they will go through “a face-to-face psychological assessment” to ensure they can withstand his furious rants.
‘My gran could do better. And she’s dead!’
‘For what we are about to eat, may the Lord make us truly not vomit’
‘This isn’t a pizza, this is an Italian tragedy’
Studio Ramsay says the mental health checks are necessary as “Gordon will push everyone to their limits”. Contestants will be food and drink entrepreneurs keen to go into business with Gordon.
A source said: “Gordon is more invested in this show than anything he’s done and that passion is likely to spill over into anger. He needs to be sure his rants won’t make somebody crumble.”
Future Food Stars is due to begin filming in May. Gordon said of the show: “Investing in the next generation of talented individuals is so important.”
