HOLLY Willoughby has taken to Instagram to share a windswept selfie from the back of a boat as she prepares to return to work.
The 38-year-old TV star has been enjoying an extended break from This Morning with an exotic holiday with her husband Dan Baldwin and their three children.
But now she’s ready to get back to work on the new series of Dancing On Ice as it returns to ITV tomorrow night.
“Well that was a beautiful Christmas, back home and ready for all that 2020 brings… better put a few more layers on before I’m rinkside tomorrow!” she posted.
She also gave a special mention to her presenting partner Phillip Schofield after a turbulent year when their relationship became strained.
“@schofe@dancingonice see you there!!!!” she added.
Earlier this week she shared a cryptic post about needing “kindness and love” in 2020.
Earlier this year, eight star ITV presenters spoke to The Sun about what they describe as a “toxic” environment at This Morning.
It followed Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden’s allegation that Phillip got her banned from presenting on the show.
And now, as Holly celebrated New Year’s Eve with her family, she appeared to reference difficult times.
“To kindness and love … the things we need most… #ifyouknowyouknow #happy2020 xxx,” she wrote.
Holly’s post comes after Amanda Holden revealed she had vowed to “suffer no fools” in 2019 while reflecting on a year when her feud with Phillip Schofield was exposed.
Earlier this year we reported that fuming Amanda complained to ITV bosses that she missed out on a role co-hosting This Morning because Phillip had branded her “difficult to manage”.
Amanda, 48, believed the 57-year-old presenter blocked her from standing in for Holly while she worked on I’m A Celebrity last year.
And she appeared to reference the fallout when she shared her top nine of 2019 post on Instagram.
She wrote: “I started 2019 with great determination and a new headspace which was to suffer no fools, to put my energy into good people and honestly not give a damn about the rest!
“It’s hard because I’m naturally a people pleaser .. but it’s paid off and I have never felt stronger or happier.
“Most importantly I never forget how lucky I am to have such love and true friends surrounding me. Thank-you for your positivity and support!! Here’s to an even bigger 2020! #newdecade.”
It was back in June when Amanda confirmed her feud with Phillip on her radio show – and blasted him for refusing to make up with her.
She said he ignored her attempt to patch things up with an “olive branch coffee” last year.
Amanda had accused the This Morning presenter of costing her a plum role on the hit show.
Speaking on her Heart radio breakfast show, Amanda explained she texted Phil in a bid to clear the air.
The mother-of-two was hoping to go for a coffee with the host, only for him to ignore her message.
Talking to her radio co-host Jamie Theakston, Amanda said: “I’ve moved on from it, Jamie, you need to move on from it.”
He replied: “You might have moved on but I just wanted to know, is there any more to the story?”
The TV favourite explained: “I did offer to meet him for a coffee months ago, he didn’t reply to my text.
“What can I say?”
Jamie pushed: “The olive branch had been extended.”
To which she replied: “Oh, yes.”
Jamie then asked if there was any chance of a reconciliation, comparing Amanda and Phil’s feud to the famous showbiz rift between Taylor Swift and Katy Perry.
The two popstars made amends this year in one of Taylor’s video after years of sniping, sharing a sweet embrace while dressed as a burger and fries.
He questioned: “In a kind of Katy Perry/ Taylor Swift moment, will there maybe be a burger and fries moment for you guys?”
But Amanda didn’t seem open to the idea, telling him: “I doubt it, I’m a vegetarian, Jamie.”
The comments came after Phil took to his Twitter page to say that he’d had “another sad weekend” after The Sun On Sunday revealed details of his feud with Amanda.
He added that he had tried to be “the easiest, most fun person to work with” throughout his 35-year career – concluding that he will “take it on the chin”.
Earlier this year we revealed that Amanda raised concerns to a top ITV boss after she was blocked from a job as Phil’s co-host last year while Holly Willoughby was in Australia filming I’m A Celebrity.
A former daytime TV executive told us: “Phillip actively campaigned for Rochelle Humes to get the job despite Amanda being more experienced — and having been told privately she’d got the gig.
Earlier this month we revealed how Phillip has found himself at the centre of a civil war at This Morning, with a series of presenters unhappy about the host’s attitude behind the scenes.
The Sun also revealed his professional relationship with close friend Holly has become strained in recent months.
And we told how the show’s Friday presenter Ruth Langsford has made an official complaint against Phillip while eight star ITV presenters spoke about what they described as a “toxic” environment at This Morning.
