PRINCE William turns 37 today and the Kensington Palace Instagram account did a special birthday tribute to the heir to the throne.
But surprisingly, there was radio silence from the Sussex Royal account, in the wake of Harry, 34, and Meghan, 37, splitting from the Fab Four’s joint charity foundation.
Prince Harry and Meghan haven’t done a birthday Instagram post for Prince William’s 37th birthday today – despite doing one for Prince Philip on June 10[/caption]
Despite doing a congratulatory post for “grandpa” Prince Philip, who turned 98 on June 10, the couple didn’t do a separate post for William.
Editor in Chief Majesty Magazine Ingrid Seward told Fabulous Digital that the lack of warmth for William could be taken as a snub at Kensington Palace.
She said: “I think it’s a snub if they don’t leave one for Prince William as they did for the Duke and for the Queen.
“If they don’t I think it’s pretty rude and will certainly be construed as purposeful.

Royal fans were quick to comment on the ‘formal’ tone of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s birthday wishes[/caption]
“That is the trouble with Instagram it becomes your slave.
“But it’s not as if it’s a cousin or a friend – it’s Harry’s big brother.”
Today, Kensington Palace shared a smiley photo of the Duke of Cambridge on a visit to Mkomazi Rhino Sanctuary in Tazmania in 2018, to thank well-wishers for their birthday messages.
And fans were quick to spot the “formal” comment Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left on the post.
Lacking their usual social media flair, the @sussexroyal account simply commented: “Happy Birthday to The Duke of Cambridge!”
Earlier this year, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex sent warm wishes to Prince Louis on his birthday – signing off with “lots of love” and birthday cake and balloon emojis.
Earlier this week, it was confirmed that the Royal Foundation – the charity set up by Prince William and Prince Harry – would be separated[/caption]
Although they didn’t do a post for Prince Louis in April, they did do very candid separate posts for the Queen’s birthday on April 21 and for her Trooping the Colour official celebrations on June 8.
They wrote alongside a photo of the Queen as a young woman: “Happy Birthday Your Majesty, Ma’am, Granny. Wishing you the most wonderful day! Harry & Meghan.”
Unhappy with their polite message to William today, one fan addressed Harry and commented: “It’s your own brother, why the need to be so formal?”
Another replied: “Wouldn’t wishing your brother [a happy birthday sound] more gentle? This reads like there is hostility.”
Meanwhile, a Royal Family fan account commented: “Sharing a photo of two brothers with a kind message would be so nice.”
Ever since Meghan and Harry moved into their new home Frogmore Cottage earlier this years, rumours of a rift between the two couples – and specifically William and Harry – have been circulating.
Earlier this week, it was confirmed that the Royal Foundation – the charity set up by Prince William and Prince Harry – would be separated as the Sussex and Cambridge households focus on their own charitable endeavours.
In more Royal Family news, Kate Middleton has made Prince William a birthday photo album featuring family photos and drawings by the kids to remind him of “what’s really important”.
And this is the sweet moment Kate Middleton and Prince William rushed across the Kensington Palace lawn to greet their kids after a Cumbria trip.
Plus Meghan Markle and Prince Harry “won’t slot in line” and be “controlled” by Prince William as the Fab Four split, a royal expert has revealed.
