Mikey Moore has admitted his euphoria after making his senior debut for Tottenham Hotspur in the clash against Manchester City on Tuesday.
Moore has turned a lot of heads with his performances at youth level over the last couple of years, with several journalists waxing lyrical about the teenager recently (Tom Barcley – The Tottenham Way Podcast).
Although a left-winger by trade, Moore has played as a number ten, an attacking midfielder and occasionally even as a striker this season, with the teenager having scored 14 goals and provided eight assists in 12 matches in the Under-18 Premier League (Transfermarkt).
The 16-year-old was handed his debut by Ange Postecolgou on Tuesday, replacing James Maddison in the dying stages of the encounter. He became Tottenham’s youngest-ever Premier League player, overtaking Dane Scarlett’s record.
While the youngster did not get a chance to have much of an impact on the game, he admitted on Instagram that it was a dream to run out onto the pitch at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and he thanked the coaches who have helped him through his journey.

Postecoglou’s decision to not just name Moore on the bench but to also bring him on shows that the Australian believes in the attacker and his potential. It will be really exciting to see how the teenager develops over the next couple of years.
